Clinical Approach

My training as a clinical and health psychologist has equipped me with a broad range of evidence‑informed approaches to care. I work with individuals across the lifespan, including professionals in medicine, law, business, federal service, and public safety — people who often carry significant responsibility and whose personal well‑being directly impacts those around them.

Many of these individuals operate in environments where doing the “right” thing is both essential and complicated. They may find themselves replaying difficult moments, questioning decisions made under pressure, or feeling caught between competing obligations. Therapy offers a place to examine these experiences without judgment and to understand how chronic stress, moral injury, and high‑stakes decision‑making shape one’s emotional life.

Many of my clients seek therapy not because they are “struggling,” but because they want a trusted partner to help them think strategically, manage stress effectively, and navigate complex personal or professional situations. I am especially attentive to concerns related to privacy, particularly for those who hold professional licenses or security clearances. Through these approaches, therapy becomes a place to pause, reflect, recalibrate, and move forward with intention.

In addition to my psychology licensure in Illinois and North Carolina, I am also able to work with clients across most U.S. states through PSYPACT (Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact). This flexibility is especially helpful for professionals who travel frequently, relocate often, or prefer access or continuity of care regardless of where they are.

Areas of Clinical Specialization Include:

• Depression

• Anxiety

• Trauma related symptoms

• Grief and loss

• Caregiver stress

• Adjustment to medical diagnoses

• Relationship challenges

• Life transitions and identity shifts

• Occupational stress and burnout

• Performance related concerns

• Moral distress and high-stakes decisions

How I Work

My therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing from cognitive‑behavioral, interpersonal, and existential frameworks. I do not believe in one‑size‑fits‑all therapy — every person brings a unique story, background, and culture. I prioritize:

• Thorough assessment to understand your history, strengths, and goals

• Collaborative planning so therapy aligns with your values and priorities

• Ongoing review to ensure our work remains effective and meaningful

• Practical strategies that fit the realities of demanding professional and personal lives

Clients often describe me as genuine, trusted, and deeply invested in their growth. My aim is to create a space where you feel understood, supported, and encouraged — while also challenged in ways that promote lasting change. For those who spend their lives making difficult decisions, caring for others, or holding themselves to high ethical standards, therapy becomes a place to set down the weight, sort through the complexity, and reconnect with what matters most.

Clinical Psychology and Treatment Services

Operational and Organizational Psychology

My experiences as an embedded psychologist in specialized, high‑stakes organizations — including special operations units, healthcare systems, and legal environments — have allowed me to apply psychological principles far beyond traditional clinical settings. Through post‑doctoral training and years of operational work, I developed additional specialization in organizational dynamics, leadership assessment, and performance optimization.

In these roles, I worked closely with leaders and teams navigating intense pressure, rapid decision‑making, and environments where human performance and well‑being directly affect mission success. I gained a unique vantage point: the ability to understand what people truly experience behind closed doors — their concerns about leadership, culture, communication, and organizational stressors. These insights have informed more effective recommendations and interventions that meaningfully improve organizational functioning.
