Insurance Coverage and Payment
I am an in-network provider with Aetna and Blue Cross Blue Shield and am happy to bill these plans directly on your behalf. If you choose to self-pay or use me as an out-of-network provider, I can provide a detailed superbill which you may submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement depending on your out of network benefits.
Good Faith Estimate
You have the right to know how much your therapy may cost before you start. This is called a Good Faith Estimate. It is part of a federal law that helps people understand their healthcare costs.
If you don’t use insurance or don’t have insurance, I can give you a written estimate that explains:
• The types of sessions you may have
• How much each session costs
• About how many sessions you might need
• The total estimated cost for your care
This estimate is not a bill. It’s just information to help you plan.
If the actual cost ends up being $400 or more above the estimate, you can ask for a review through a federal dispute process.
You can ask for a Good Faith Estimate anytime, even before you schedule.
